Fudge fingas mix

Edinburgh vinyl enthusiast and Firecracker pin-up boy Fudge Fingas turns in a blissful trip to outer space and back with the latest addition to the series. Enjoy the ride. Oh, you know, the usual. Family life, moving house, moving studios. Some reading and writing, maths and geography, science and arts, but always and mainly music.

Who wins is for the dancers to decide. It does tend to get in the way a bit though, yes. The last two years have been a time of upheaval and reflection for me. I have been writing a great deal of music, though not necessarily recording it… but I doubt any of it will come out under the FF moniker.

You could take any supposedly original artist and find someone out there who did it before them. What bores me is hearing people aping a style, but having no substance to go with it. I like to hear artists with their own distinct sound or personality shining through more than anything. Music from around the globe, beginning with a journey to the moon and ending with a view of sunrise from outer space. The artists who feature are as follows:.

When I might re-emerge I cannot say, and you might not recognise me. Hide View all. Published: 5 Jan Related Share Facebook Twitter Email.Recipe by: Dana. This turned out a little too "dark chocolate" for me. I learned quickly if the mixture is not timed carefully and it boils in the microwave, you will end up with a grainy texture. I remade it It certainly is an easy fudge recipe, and it's very tasty, just not "fudge-like" enough for me.

It really just tasted like eating chocolate chips from the bag. To me it just doesn't have the c I just had to update my review. I've been making this recipe for a couple of years now, and just want to share a couple of my favorite variations. I half the completed mixture prior to adding This is such an easy and great tasting fudge recipe.

To make it easier, I lined the 8X8 dish with aluminum foil. That way, when the fugde has hardened, you can lift it straight up out of the bak Great, easy fudge recipe. To prevent a grainy texture, pre-melt the butter, then add the chips and milk, stir, then microwave for 30 second intervals and keep stirring.

Takes 3 minutes to make This fudge was very easy to prepare and tasted very creamy and good. I used 1 cup of semi-sweet chips and 2 cups of milk chocolate chips and the fudge was still pretty dark. Next time I will u Wow, this is SO much better than it has any right to be! Is it exactly the same as classic double-boiler-and-candy-thermometer fudge?

Not quite, but it's delicious and foolproof Loved this fudge. I used 1C. So easy! It tastes like those "Ice Cube" candies that Moritz makes. I don't like the "old fas I used milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet morsels. I took this to a Christmas party and everyone loved it!!! This recipe is so easy and so good!!! Thanks for sharing! Recipe by: Dana "I double the recipe and put in a glass baking dish 9x13 inches.

EP opener "Eyes On The Prize" is instantly quicker than previous FF releases, and channels a mess of disco licks into a wonderful mulch with a psychedelic bent.

Strangely the beat feels largely indebted to Detroit as it furiously snaps away, which strangely echoes in the troubled filtrations of "NTNLNC". It's as if the Motor City love for nagging disco loops against breakneck techno got slowed down and smacked out. What Works. It seems fitting that remix duties are handed to Vakula - it was Firecracker after all who first showcased the Ukrainian producer's sounds to a wider audience - and despite his prolific form in recent times, his appearance here still feels very special indeed.

Unsurprisingly, he turns in a memorable, highly atmospheric remix of "What Works", before another Fudge original, the chiming sea of calm that is "Mass X", rounds off an essential release. Now About How. What Do You Do? Since making his debut inthe Scottish producer has released just four solo singles - the most recent being last year's well-received About Time 12" - and contributed a handful of tracks to various Firecracker and Prime Numbers collaborative EPs. For those who dig his atmospheric and at times heady sound, it's been a frustrating experience.

Perhaps he was saving himself for this debut full-length. Now About How largely explores his previous themes, showcasing a densely layered, occasionally downtempo take on dance music that's never less than intoxicating. Now About How is a true basement soul album.

While firmly rooted in deep house check the swampy Detroitian vibes of "Shake Out"it never settles into one comfortable, predictable groove. Its heady, emotion-rich grooves include warm, melodic two-step and future garage flavas "Polo", the jazzual "Silent Statues"lazy Balearica "Mind Swamp"dubwise slo-mo grooves "If We're Gonna Go" and dewy-eyed downtempo beatscapes "It's The Music".

It's eclectic, no doubt, but thanks to Sutherland's delicious production and strangely distant vocals, Now About How hangs together marvelously. RH 17 Sep 12 Deep House.

Hyp 178: Fudge Fingas

The object of their prowess is "Mass X", taken from What Works, Fingas' debut for the Edinburgh imprint and the original's chiming sea calm gets reworked into two differing but complementary dub house gems. The Ukrainian - no stranger to remixing Fudge for Fire - calls shotgun with a wonderfully dusty house number filled with the kind of brain melting touches we've come to demand from Vakula.

This digital edition may not come with the physical packaging, but music wise, the two Fudge Fingas originals here together with one Linkwood track getting the Fudge Fingas remix treatment are effervescent, dusty slices of house music which are all clear winners whatever the format.

Predictably, this fifth instalment is just as impressive as its predecessors, offering wildly contrasting fare from Redshape and Fudge Fingas. While the latter's fluid, loose, jazz-flecked "Light In My Life" impresses greatly, it's Redshape who wins the day. His "Flexx" is unashamedly powerful - a sweaty, percussive roller full of shuffling military drums, stargazing techno melodies, foreboding strings and booming bassline pressure.

His most lauded works thus far have been released by such well regarded record labels as Firecracker Recordings and Prime Numbers.

These highly covetable releases have been picked up and played by music lovers all over the globe. Always serving the music first and not in a hurry to chase the limelight, he has only allowed small portions of his own sounds to be heard over the years — from left of centre jazzy meanderings, to mind bending deep house, through rough and ready techno, back to psychedelically soulful late night jams.

It seems, though, that the time is now right for his eclectic sound, easy going attitude and esoteric philosophies to make the leap from his mind to yours.

So, expect to hear a lot more from this being in the future…. Latest Releases. Untytled Fudge Fingas Firecracker.View Your Wish List. This site uses cookies. Accept Selected Cookies Back. This is one of our long-time favorite fudge brownie recipes. It's an easy one-bowl recipe; no melting chocolate, no combining wet and dry ingredients separately, simply stir everything together.

And it makes a reliably delicious, moist, fudgy pan of brownies, perfect for that potluck you forgot about until the last minute. Lightly grease a 9" x 13" pan for thin brownies ; or an 8" square or 9" square pan for thicker brownies.

Put all of the ingredients into a large bowl in the order in which they're written. Stir, then beat the mixture until it's smooth.

Bake the brownies for about 25 minutes for the 9" x 13" pan ; 26 minutes for the 9" panor 31 minutes for the 8" panor until they're just barely beginning to pull away from the sides of the pan. A toothpick inserted into the center will come out clean or with a few moist crumbs clinging to it; you shouldn't see any wet batter. Remove the brownies from the oven; let them cool completely before cutting. Store any leftovers, well-wrapped, at room temperature for 5 to 6 days.

Freeze for longer storage. Looking to cut back on the sugar in your baking? See our blog post, How to reduce sugar in cookies and bars.
