For those ladies who've taken vitex, and had bfps, do you believe it helped you, and how long did it take to kick in with regulating your AF and ovulation? Has anyone taken it for a short luteal phase? Thanks in advance. Add a comment. Hey ladies! So my partner and I have been the for 11 months, when I heard about vote.

I researched it a bit and just based on what I read online I really wanted to try it. I started taking one in the morning and one at night, and three weeks later, I got my bfp! I was so excited but because the bottle said not to continue through pregnancy, I stopped it cold turkey.

Thank you! So sorry to hear about your loss, wanttobeamummy2. I think you're supposed to ween yourself off it, not stop abruptly, but no you aren't supposed to continue taking it while pregnant, so I wouldn't recommend taking during the first trimester. I would say just ween yourself off it slowly. Good luck for when you start TTC again xo. Started Taking Vitex In April after cycle ended so I've been taking vitex for about 3 months now and I think it's actually working!

I've noticed my period regulating I had a 28 day cycle before taking vitex because I had come off depo had been on it for about a year my period typically came around the end of the month but was VERY light. I took a ovulation test got a positive me and hubby try all my fertile days because I have the app on my phone to track it.

I believe I may have gotten my BFP this cycle. Haven't really been having a appetite and when I finely eat something I get full quick. I also have been really tired lately falling asleep at work which is so not me I never get sleepy string the day.

Expecting my next period July 9 waiting until after that to test! Fingers crossed! I started vitex and wild yams a month ago and got my BFP a couple days ago. Getting pregnant You've made the decision and you are actively trying to conceive. It was PM on Tuesday, December 8, I started a new job two months prior, so I was assuming that it may have just been the stress from the transition and new workload.

I did not start my menstrual cycle until I was 16, and the only reason I remember, is because it arrived on my 16th birthday— happy Sweet Sixteen to me, right?

Nonetheless, from the start, I did not menstruate normally. I could go months and sometimes up to a year without a monthly cycle. The pain was so unbearable at times, that I had a standing prescription for pain meds and would miss school, and later work, regularly. The first time that my parents suspected that something may be wrong was on December 29th, I was laying in the bed when a level of pain and discomfort I had never experienced took over my body. I cried out and my younger brother ran to get my parents.

Eventually the pain subsided and I was discharged. She began to explain what the condition was and that I would never be able to conceive a child without fertility treatment, and even with the treatment, my chances were still very low.

At 25, I was in no way thinking of becoming a mother, but the news devastated me; I knew that I eventually did want to experience motherhood. A few days later, my mother and I were out shopping and we came across a bunch of kittens who were in need of homes.

In an attempt to lift my spirits, she adopted the kitten for me, and hoped that the nurture, love and care I would have to give this kitten, would somewhat help with my current circumstance. As the years passed, I continued to struggle with my hormonal imbalance and extremely irregular cycle.

In January ofI was spending a lovely evening in the house with my boyfriend. We had just finished dinner and were watching a movie. Out of nowhere, I began to feel a strange pain. I barely made it to the bathroom before I was on the ground in a pain so similar to what I had felt in ; only this time, it was even worse.

Again, I cried out in agony and my boyfriend came rushing to my side. Terrified himself at what was happening to me, he immediately dialed Of course we were in the middle of a snowstorm, so it took the ambulance what felt like forever to arrive.

After a few hours in the hospital, the doctor was finally able to pinpoint what had happened— one of my cysts had ruptured. We are also now sure, that this was what I had experienced 6 years prior, only this time, they were able to discover it because my medical information mentioned my PCOS.

They kept me there a bit longer and once the pain completely subsided, my boyfriend and I were able to go home. After that horrific experience, I decided I had to do something. I spent weeks, days and hours searching the internet for answers.

Finally, I came across a natural herb supplement called Vitex. It claimed to assist with PCOS, by naturally balancing your hormones not actually pushing hormones into your system and regulating your cycle.

After extensive research for several days, I decided to give it a try. I am now 6, almost 7 months pregnant with a growing, overly active and healthy baby boy!! Each day I am in disbelief that I have this miracle growing inside of me. All thing that I was told would most likely not be in my future. Due to Vitex being a natural herb, it is not required to go through FDA approval, so many doctors do not have much information on it.

I will say that my first several weeks of pregnancy, I was concerned that if I stopped taking the Vitex, my hormones would then become imbalanced and I would experience a miscarriage. Instead, I chose to slowly wean my body off, and being completely done by the time my placenta had formed.

Again, I am happy to report that baby boy is healthy and I have not had any issues! I must admit, however, that I am cautious and understand that I have 3 more months to go, and anything can happen. In my heart, though, I believe that God intended that I have this child, which will result in a successful and safe labor and delivery! After all that being said, I write this post to give hope to any other young women out there who may have been diagnosed with PCOS, or do not ovulate for whatever reason. Here you will find testimonials and letters that have been sent in from customers, clients and readers.

I decided to try a new doctor and he was a nice doctor, but still treated me with drugs… After I stopped breastfeeding him I was eager to see if my cycles would come…but they did not, so I spent the next year and a half changing my diet and looking for natural solutions that would aid my body in working the way it is designed to work.

I used Radiant Womb diligently from start of August to few days before my embryo transfer date on 29th August. And have continued using Utericalm which is almost exhausted lol.

I want to appreciate your effort and show appreciation because for the first time I have had a cramp-free 2 week wait after transfer and just had a strong positive result. I was so scared to test because of the absence of cramps in this cycle. However, they are individual results and results do vary.

From the beginning of last year we began to start looking closely at things we should be doing as for some reason it struck us that things were taking a fair amount of time. We felt that there was a bigger picture and sensed we needed to look at our diets and hormones, these temples called our bodies really do need our care!

During this time we were trying to conceive, I was observing a handful of things which I knew were key to success. I even asked countless questions to which the same consultant, Elizabeth came back to me swiftly and with such a helpful service and so lovingly! After trying to conceive for 9 months, I began taking vitex, I took a mg capsule of… Vitex, so two capsules in a day — in the morning and afternoon with my meals.

Someone suggest I try vitex. I've been ttc since May after my miscarriage. I've had irregular periods since then. I've recently cut out all processed carbs and sugar, and for two months I've had pretty normal periods. I'd love to hear your vitex succes stories if you have any! Thanks :D. I had two early miscarriages last year both between weeks.

So I decided to start vitex after my second loss, as well as natural progesterone cream only during luteal phase. Well I was planning to give it at least 3 months to work, and to give my body a rest from the miscarriages, but we ended up pregnant immediately, with no cycle in between. I really couldn't believe we were pregnant again since I was away from my husband for 5days surrounding ovulation! I am 14 weeks now with a healthy little bean: don't know if Vitex and progesterone had any effect, but I'm sure they didn't hurt anything: good luck!!

Wow, that's amazing! Thank you for sharing : I might look up the progesterone cream too. Thank you so much. Did you talk to your ob before trying vitex? I just had a chemical after having an early miscarriage in November.

I want to do what I can to minimize my chances of this happening again, and if this can help I think I would try, but should I talk to my ob first?

I was at my cousins birth yesterday and her midwife suggested it to me, so I was just assuming you could take it. I've heard people will take it to get pregnant and some have been advised to keep taking it through the first trimester to help baby stick : I'm going to get some today and am going to start taking it. I'm at a point where I will try anything! So hopefully it's fine :P.Log in Sign up. Home Community Getting pregnant Trying for a baby.
